Yanhuitlán Chimalli Pendant
This pendant is a tribute to the Chimalli de Yanhuitlán, (Shield of Yanhuitlan) a masterpiece of Mixtec goldsmithing from the Postclassic period. The original artifact, discovered in Yanhuitlán, Oaxaca, represents the union of war, the sun, and water. Adorned with intricate filigree resembling feathers, four arrow bundles symbolizing the cardinal directions, it captures the essence of Mixtec artistry and cosmology.

Handcrafted in .925 Sterling Silver, a 24K Gold Plate and adorned with Natural Turquoise, this pendant echoes the stepped fret design, a motif symbolizing the connection between the earthly and the divine.
